This excellent coffee is distinguished not only by its distinctive and appealing aroma, but also by its smooth yet intense flavour that gradually develops on the palate.

Lavazza Espresso is a medium-roasted coffee with the full-bodied taste of authentic Italian espresso.

In the 1980s, Lavazza expanded into international markets, particularly France, Germany, New York, Vienna and other destinations. At the end of the 1980s, Lavazza entered a new area of business. In addition to the Ho.Re.Ca. and retail sectors, the company entered the vending market, which became a very important part of its business. This led to the creation of the well-known “Lavazza Espresso Point” and “Lavazza BLUE” products, which became widely used in homes, offices and small food-service establishments.

Throughout the 1990s, Lavazza continued expanding into various countries around the world, including the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal and others. Since 1997, Lavazza has held ISO 9001 Quality Certification.

In 1998, the ESE (Easy Serving Espresso) system was introduced. It uses individually packaged coffee in special paper pods. These pods can be used both at home and in professional coffee machines.

Every year, Lavazza purchases approximately 2.3 million bags of green coffee beans from around 25 countries.
