A coffee for those who enjoy a strong, rich, and intense flavor. Gimoka Gusto Ricco is a blend of selected Arabica and Robusta beans. The name translates as “rich taste,” and the flavor truly matches it. Composition: 90% Arabica and 10% Robusta.

Gimoka was founded in 1982, inspired by family tradition and passion, and has grown into one of the largest coffee roasters in the world. The founder Ivan Padelli continued the family legacy rooted in Lecco, near Lake Como, where his father ran a small café that became a place for experiencing freshly roasted coffee blends while overlooking one of Italy’s most famous lakes, also known from Alessandro Manzoni’s literary work The Betrothed.
At the age of 22, Ivan Padelli decided to expand the family business and founded GIMOKA in 1982 in Lecco. Thanks to business growth, the company later moved to Andalo Valtellino, where it developed into a larger enterprise.
Key milestones:
- 1982 – Gimoka founded in Lecco as a coffee roasting and domestic sales company
- 1987 – relocation to Andalo Valtellino and transformation into a limited company
- 1994 – acquisition of “ESPRESSO Italia” (Andalo Valtellino), focused on coffee beans and capsules
- 1997 – acquisition of “Caffè Si” (Milan), focused on the HoReCa sector (bars, hotels, restaurants, catering)
